Taking place at Courtfield Gardens London on the 17th November from 10.30am-3.30pm, St Mellitus students have been gifted a free ticket at this event, with 50 free tickets available:
It has been truly remarkable to see what the church has been doing to help new arrivals to the UK from Hong Kong and Afghanistan in the last few months.
The church has been able to support more refugee hotels than anyone
else, provide new clothes, pushchairs, prams and cots to over 1000 vulnerable
Afghan children. Practical help has been given in a brilliant collaboration
with the Home Office, local authorities and Hotels. The church has been at the front
of the queue to show hospitality and welcome to thousands of vulnerable
refugees.
We know of churches that have added over 150 new Hong Kong arrivals to
their numbers, many are seeing people come to faith. And the Times even picked
up on a story of Hong Kong new arrivals helping Afghan refugees through their
local church.
You are invited to a
special event in London we are running in partnership with Love Your Neighbour
at Holy Trinity Brompton, HTB Courtfield Gardens. Nicky Gumbel will be one of
our keynote speakers and we have an exciting range of seminars to help churches
make the most of these unprecedented missional opportunities.
In order to help St Mellitus students afford to come, we
have 50 free tickets available. (The
discount code is "STUDENT" - add the promo code when you select a
general admission ticket and it will give 100% off).
